With character names like Stella Armpit, Festering Postule and Beauty, (as in “sleeping”…duh!), the Friday Harbor Middle School Players’ 2009 play is sure to get the giggles going.

Steph DeFerie’s Mother Goose is Eaten by Werewolves shakes up the Whittier Stage Friday through Sunday, March 27-29.

“I like it because it’s total tongue-in-cheek,” said director Fred Yockers.

The hilarity begins when Mother Goose discovers there are real werewolves acting in her show, so she makes a break for it. Luckily, some adventurous cast members—like a Fairy Godmother, a Witch, a Prince and a Wolf—save the day by acting out their own versions of Sleeping Beauty. Yockers is casting more than two dozen 6th, 7th and 8th graders in this hilarious farce.
