Cats Festival of Trees December 2002 Photos by Matt Pranger 
Once again the Festival of Trees was an entertainment success, and CATS has announced that the major fundraiser for the San Juan Community Theatre grossed in excess of $57,000. This figure includes monies earned from the auctions, tickets for both the event and its preview night, and sponsors. Still to be counted are miscellaneous sales and the raffle for the Erte sculpture which should put the total over the 2001 figure. Such a triumph could not have been achieved without the hard work of hundreds of islanders. The program listed 73 Special Spirits and 95 contributors to the Silent Auction. To this number is added the 56 donors for the Live Auction, most likely every member of CATS who participated in one way or another, and the 31 chairpersons, each who enlisted help from scores of friends and associates.
