Bringing infants/toddlers to events - The Theatre strongly discourages bringing young children to events, unless the events are specifically aimed at children (e.g., the Teddy Bear Picnic). Patrons who choose to bring young children with them are required to leave the auditorium immediately if their child is disruptive in any way. The primary complaint that the Theatre receives when soliciting audience feedback is from individuals who are upset about children whose behavior distracts their attention from the stage. Customers are required to purchase seats for their children, unless they are small infants (not toddlers) and can be accommodated on a parent's lap (i.e. they are not occupying an additional seat).
Returning a ticket - Tickets may be returned in advance of the performance, but there will be no cash refunds. The value of the returned tickets can either be converted into a gift certificate for use at future performances, or can be used as a donation to the Theatre. At our discretion we may make exceptions to this policy, e.g., if there is a death in the immediate family that requires immediate travel. We do encourage customers to return tickets that will not be used as a donation to the theatre, as they are often better seats than the ones still on sale.
Exchanging tickets - Seats within the same performance may be exchanged. In addition, if there are multiple performances of the same event, tickets purchased for one performance may be exchanged for tickets for another performance, so long as the exchange is not requested following the performance you are turning in for exchange. Any difference in price will not be refunded.
Waiting list for sold out performances - When a performance is sold out, a patron wishing a ticket can come to the Theatre during the hour before the performance and get on a waiting list. Box Office workers do not maintain a waiting list before this time, and will not phone potential waiting list customers. If seats become available, they will be offered 15 minutes before the performance begins to waiting list customers starting at the top of the list and working down.
Free tickets for individuals who can't afford the ticket price - Anyone who is unable to afford coming to the Theatre may request a free ticket. There are no income-related criteria, nor is there any requirement of proof of need. Simply ask at the Box Office, and a free ticket will be provided.
In order to accommodate as many families as possible with this service, we ask that no more than two tickets per family be requested for any one performance.
