Butterflies Are Free
Written by Leonard Gershe
Directed by Douglas Schirmer

Opening on Broadway in 1969, this funny and touching play centers on Don Baker, a blind man who moves into an apartment on his own in Manhattan to pursue his songwriting ambitions. When his mother meets his kooky neighbor, sexy actress Jill, Mrs. Baker's controlling instincts go into overdrive with hilariously touching results.
