Auditions for 'Guys and Dolls JR' Summer Musical Theatre Camp
Audition Session 1: Sunday, April 28th, 4:00pm - 5:00pm (at PARC Studio)
Audition Session 2:Saturday, May 18th, 4:00pm - 5:00pm (at PARC Studio)
Kids only need to come to one session.
Ages: 7-18

Kids are welcome to audition for acceptance into the Summer Musical Theatre Camp held July 22- August 11th. Kids do not need to prepare anything in advance but should come prepared to sing, move and have fun. 
Expected to take roughly 1 hour.

About the Show: Guys and Dolls JR. is an adaptation of the show considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy. Its namesake ran for 1,200 performances when it opened on Broadway in 1950, and won numerous Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Frank Loesser's brassy, immortal score and witty book makes Guys and Dolls JR. a perennial crowd pleaser.

Theatre For Wigglers: Session 2
10am-11am, Fridays, May 24th-June 14th

Pre-kinder children ages 3-5 will meet at the theatre to explore the facility and learn the
fundamentals of acting and being a good audience member through games and storytelling.
Maximum of 10 children may register.

Storybook Theatre Camp - Ages 5-7 

M-W and F, July 1-3 and July 5, 10:00-12:00 @ PARC studio

Theatre is all about telling stories so students will learn how to use their voices and bodies to tell stories and create characters.  Kids will demonstrate what they've learned on the final day of class. - Min 5 Max 12

4th of July Parade with SJCT - Age 8-Adult (younger w/parent welcome)

July 4 9:00-12:00 - SJCT to end of Parade route + TBA hour of rehearsal.

The ensemble in a musical is where all the action is!  Join our fun camp and learn a couple musical numbers that highlight the ensemble.  Campers will learn how to create their own characters and let those personalities shine!

Technical Theatre Camp Part 1:Sets and Props Camp Ages 11-18

M-Th July 8-11, 2024 1:00-5:00pm @ PARC main

Ever wanted to get involved making the magic of theatre from the technical side?  Our set and props camp will get kids involved building the set and the props for the upcoming Guys and Dolls Jr production!  They will learn about set and prop design and construction and get busy working on the actual elements that will end up onstage!

16 hours, $128 Register by June 8/ $160 Regular Registration 

Technical Theatre Camp Part 2:Lights and Sound Camp Ages 11-18

M-Th July 15-18, 2024 1:00-5:00pm @ Whittier Theatre

Lights and Sound are essential elements of every production and are even more important to making musicals magic.  Students will learn the basics of lighting design and how we use our in-house tech to create atmosphere, mood and visual interest.  Kids will also learn how we run sound  and learn the basics of using QLab to keep the music playing.
