Family Theatre is back—and this year, the Bard is back, too!

Get ready for Musical! The Bard Is Back!—a hilarious musical where absolutely everything goes wrong!

The students of Hilltop High are putting on Romeo and Juliet, but their terrified director is convinced the curse of Shakespeare’s “Scottish Play” is still haunting the school. And she may be right! With collapsing sets, broken bones, wildly wrong costumes, a stage mom, and techies who worship duct tape, this madcap musical is packed with chaos, comedy, and theatrical mayhem!

 

Who Can Participate?

The SJCT Family Theatre program is a fully staged production for students in grades K–6 and their parents. Students in grades 7–12 who are interested in participating are invited to apply for the tech crew.

 

Auditions 

  • Tuesday, September 8 from 3:15–5:00 PM                 (on the Whittier Theatre Stage) 
  • Wednesday, September 9 from 3:15–5:00 PM           (on the Whittier Theatre Stage) 

*Auditioners only need to attend one audition session.           

 

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will begin the week of September 20 and will take place weekdays after school and Sunday afternoons at the PARC Building.The rehearsal schedule will vary by student and will be adjusted to accommodate individual availability as much as possible. Rehearsals for Adults will take place on a weekday evening and on Sunday afternoons.  

 

Performances

There will be 4 performances, running November 19th – 22nd. 

  • Thursday at 7:00pm - Pay-What-You-Can!
  • Friday at 7:00pm
  • Saturday at 7:00pm
  • Sunday at 2pm
